any1 seen any fun sights or anythin interesting happened in the storms in ur area? loads of roofs have collapsed round here, includin a chinese and an equip garage! n our tiles fell off the roof of our house and scared me half to death!

A few trees down in and around Chester today, loads of fencing panels blownout. Northop power supplies are down as I type this( hence the silence on the Deano Tweaks front) You like my new name for Deanos mini sanctuary ???

Yesturday outside work blackpool airport have placed 6 unused planes in front of where i work and one of them, nearest to the fencing, one of its wings was touching the tarmac and the other stuck in the air.

Also some scaffolding was falling off the top of the roof of a warehouse and on to a cherry-picker below. no-one was on it!!

And the police has closed off the promanade due to several collasped buildings all you could see was policemen in riot gear so if a slate falls down it won't hurt them while diverting loads of traffic onto side streets.

noooooooooooo poor mini mini :( the weather aint impressed me at all twelve hours without electricity due to trees etc falling down!!! NO COMPUTER NO MINIADDICTS OR MSN!! and worst of all the phone masts where down i have to drive 3 miles to use it!!! :mad: all is well just as i was leaving the pub it all came bk on again WAHOOOOOOOO!!!!!

well apparently northwest had the biggest deathtoll, has any1 seen the footage on the news of the woman who got blown onto her backside then got thrown into a glass buildin while still on her ass?! was nasty! can see other people holding onto poles and things. i was worryin the chimney stack was gna fall on winston in the front garden :eek:

wowe.... how scary is that wind. my sympathy goes out to all those family's who have lost loved ones because of it.

as i was passing wrexham art collage yesterday, i thought there was going to be another casualty.... this young art student guy was crossing the road, looking really cool in his brightly coloured hat and scarf, extra large trousers, nice big warm coat with large lapels and one of those big flat cases (you know the ones) he made it to an island just as the lights changed.... but the island was exposed to the wind..... the traffic all obeyed the traffic lights and he was stranded there.... i should'nt laugh but it was so funny to look at.... his lapel's were flapping with great force in his thick rimed spectacled face, his hat flew off, his trousers where almost pulling his feet from under him and with that case acting like glider wings..... i did have some concern for the lads saftey.... but i could'nt stop laughing... honest man... i was crying.... my sides were spliting ha ha :) :)

argh its awful wen that happens! i was an artstudent at college and i have one of them big black portfolios for all my work for uni interviews and wen that caught the wind there was no chance of stoppin it acted like some kind of parachute wen the wind was behind it!!! u cant imagine how many ****ty looks i used to get, climbing onto an overcrowded bus with a 3foot folio!!!:p

it is awful and i did feel sorry for the lad. i aint got anything against art students or students in general.... but it was so funny mate and i'm sure he survived. it's a pitty he was'nt carrying one of his stone sculptures home. :)

Hear Hear. Few trees down in Blacon, one blocking half the road! Went past the Road Range Mercedes garage and there were two blokes lying one part of the roof to keep it down! Thought that was quite amusing, just didnt fancy their chances of staying on it for long!:rolleyes:
