View Full Version : road pricing proposals
not a joke.....
you might want to add your name.
the government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it.
the tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the bbc, the lowest bill was £28 for a rural florist and a £194 for a delivery driver.
a none working mum (there's a controdiction in terms) who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month.
on top of this massive increase in tax, somebody will know where you are at all times. they will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidently creep over a speed limit you can expect a n.i.p with your monthly bill.
if you care about our freedoms and stoping the constant bashing of the car driver, please sigh the petition on number ten's new wedsite.

Got my e-mail from 10 Downing Street this morning, all FOUR pages of it. all typical political jargon telling me everything and nothing I don't already know about traffic congestion etc ,finishing off with a paragraph saying "quote "
" Before we take any decisions about a National pricing scheme,we know we have to look at a system that works.A system that respects our privacy as individuals.A system that is fair.I fully accept that we don't have all the answers yet.that is why we are not rushing headlong into a national road pricing schemme. Before we take any decisions there would be further consultations. the public will,of course have their say as will Parliament"
The papers will prob print it all for all to see but I have printed a copy off should anyone want to read it or I can e-mail it if you pm me your e-mail.
